BPL Access control system

This system controls access to the Internet from the Beauregard Parish Library and the ParishWide Information Network.

Free accounts are available at the Library to anyone eligible for a library card. An account gives you general Internet access (mandatory content filtering for minors, selectable for adults) and an email box. Access is available in our public computing labs, by Wireless 802.11b/g (WiFi) hotspots around all of of branches, and by dialup lines in DeRidder and Ragley.

Anyone with a photo ID can obtain a one day guest access pass at any of our branches. Guest passes work on WiFi and in our labs. Tourists passing through during closed hours may only access a very limited whitelist of approved safe sites via WiFi.
